Welcome to the YBI Community!
We are excited to announce upcoming events that will provide opportunities, build community involvement, and provide a space for the youth to cultivate their ideas. YBI is in a complete transition to better assist our students to create a better future for them as well as better our community. Our mission is to provide the fundamental principles of business management to encourage entrepreneurship and career-building.

Student Spotlight

Student of the Month: Brandon Joseph

We want to introduce you to our "Spotlight Student of the Month," Brandon who has been an active participant at our organization. Brandon is a 17 year old aspiring music artist who has plans to be versatile within the music industry. Our Norwalk native envisions owning his own recording studio with hopes to provide opportunity for local youth who show in interest in the performing arts, including music, dancing, and acting. His inspirations come from his mother, Tyler Perry, and Nick Cannon. YBI is about paying it forward and our students also have the same drive to give back to the community for the younger generations.

Current YBI Events

Dissecting Business-

YBI has launched its first course series that started on March 4. The sessions are held bi-weekly on Thursday's at the YBI main office from 4:00-6:00pm. During this course, students will either watch a documentary film or television series of entrepreneurs with a 6-figure business, which will provide insight on business development. The students will watch one hour of the selected film each class period, engage in group discussion, and outline how to apply what they learned to their entrepreneurial ventures. We are currently accepting 10 students, but are open to more students who are interested in joining our course series. This is the beginning phase of introducing prospective students to our workshop and program. If you know of any youth interested in becoming a YBI student, then please reach out at programs@ybict.org.
